Regarding the revision of our TCFD Reports and Sustainability Reports due to the partial non-compliance of projects subject to the Equator Principles(210KB)
In FY 2023, we internally reviewed the status of compliance with the sustainability-related initiatives that we adopted. We identified that some project finance loans did not entirely comply with the fourth edition of the Equator Principles ("EP4"), which were revised in July 2020.
In response to this, we conducted additional in-house investigation through an external consultant. For primary financial transactions (transactions where we provided loans for the project in question), and secondary financial transactions (transactions where we took over accounts receivable from another financial institutions after they extended loans for the project in question), we have confirmed compliance status of all projects subject to EP4. In addition, as a recurrence-prevention measure, we have clarified the confirmation process and established a cross-checking confirmation system. Please refer to the PDF above for further details.
