- Non-performing loans (NPLs) based on Banking Act and Reconstruction Act (Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, non-consolidated) as of the end of September 2025 decreased by 4.4 billion yen from the end of March 2025 to 81.2 billion yen. NPL ratio remained low at 0.2%. The percentage of Coverage ratio covered by collateral and allowance for loan losses is also adequate, at 84.7% for Doubtful loans and 54.4% for Substandard loans.
- Common Equity Tier 1 capital ratio as of the end of September 2025 increased by 0.41 percentage points from the end of March 2025 to 11.93%, mainly due to increase in retained earnings and increase in capital associated with stock price rise. Total capital ratio increased by 0.69 percentage points to 15.03%. Both ratios remained well above the regulatory requirements of 7.56% and 11.06%, respectively.
